Trauma-Informed Astrology with Deborah Norton

June 5 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM PDT

Class Description: Being Trauma-Informed as an Astrologer In this class, we will explore the critical importance of being trauma-informed as an astrologer. As practitioners who engage deeply with clients’ personal histories and emotional landscapes, it is essential to approach our work with sensitivity and awareness of trauma. This class will provide a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its effects, introduce key trauma-informed principles, and offer practical strategies for integrating these principles into astrological consultations. We will cover a range of topics, including the definition and types of trauma, common responses to trauma, and the long-term impact it can have on individuals. Participants will learn about the core principles of a trauma-informed approach, such as creating a safe environment, fostering trust, and promoting empowerment. The class will also include practical applications, such as case studies, role-playing exercises, and the development of personalized strategies for trauma-informed practice. Ethical considerations, including confidentiality, professional boundaries, and the importance of referrals to mental health professionals, will be discussed. Additionally, we will provide resources for further learning and emphasize the importance of self-care for astrologers. The session will conclude with a Q&A and discussion, allowing participants to share their experiences and insights. By the end of this class, astrologers will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to provide compassionate, sensitive, and effective support to clients who may have experienced trauma, ensuring a more holistic and healing approach to their practice.
